WHAT TO EXPECT: These fun & relaxed art workshops aim to capture your child’s imagination, allowing their inner artist to shine whilst guaranteeing them a memorable time. We will create a free flowing, safe and creative space for your child where they feel comfortable to have fun, make friends, play games, be creative in their own way whilst exploring the natural space around them.
These workshops are open to all primary school ages between 4-11. All abilities welcome within this age bracket. There will be something for everyone! Each session will be inspired by nature, wildlife and the wonderful outdoors. We plan to use a variety of techniques and material, such as painting, printing, mixed media collage, sculpting etc. Your child will take their creation home with them. Everything is weather dependent, but we plan to spend most of the time in the outdoor space, however, we can use the hut as a back up.
As well as creating art, we will learn about different art styles and artists, explore our surroundings, play games and we will also have a chill out area for those who may feel a little overwhelmed and need some calming quiet time.
There will be a joint collaborative art station, free-art station and an artist-lead station so each child should be able to enjoy being creative in their own way and at their own pace. With a nod towards sustainability and protecting the planet.
HOW TO PREPARE: Ensure your child is wearing clothes they are happy to get a bit messy. (All art materials are washable but we don’t want to see them dressed in their best! We all know what grass stains can be like!) Parking is available for drop off & collection only. We have toilets & we can refill their water bottles onsite in our kitchen. No phones or valuables.
